Minnamurra Rainforest | A Morning Hike

I am so fortunate to live close to some of the most beautiful places in nature, the beaches, the rolling hills of the countryside, a stunning view of the escarpment and Minnamurra Rainforest.

Minnamurra Rainforest is only a 25 minute drive from my home and is a special remnant of a rainforest that once stretched across the entire Illawarra region. It boasts beautiful scenery that surrounds you as you walk along the track and explore the depths of the rainforest and all that lives within it.

My friends and I challenged ourselves to The Falls Walk, which is a very challenging hike to the top of the rainforest with some extremely steep hills! It a great way to add some excitement into your weekly fitness routine as well as breath in the cool, fresh rainforest air.

Believe me, it was a tough walk. Our thighs were burning and our hearts were pumping but reaching the top is truly rewarding, when you are greeted by a stunning waterfall!

We snapped some photos of the stunning scenery on our iPhones as we walked (having some fun along the way too), so I thought I would share just a small piece of what this beautiful rainforest has to offer. I hope this inspires you to go out and find a hidden treasure in mother nature just like this one!
